Pixel Hack

Pixel Hack rebuilds the classic arcade shooter in a world that splits the difference between reality and fiction, rendered in a deliberately chunky, pixelated art style that pulls straight from the games your team grew up mashing quarters into. The bullet-hell format means the screen fills fast. Waves of projectiles arrive from angles that reward footwork over firepower, and standing still is usually the first mistake a new player makes.

Up to four players work the arena together, splitting fire and clearing lanes for teammates who get boxed in by the pattern. Music runs through the whole session and sets the tempo the bullets follow, so reading the beat becomes as useful as reading the enemy. It is built for players who already love arcade shooters and want the format translated into something they can physically dodge instead of watching from a screen, ducking and weaving for real instead of tapping a directional pad from a couch.
