Kraken Island Series drops your group on a beach overrun by skeleton crews with an unsettling goal: they are not just trying to knock you down, they are trying to take you over. Grab a weapon, hold the line for your extraction robots, and keep the cartoonish-but-relentless dead from claiming your body as their next vessel. The art style leans bright and playful, which makes the actual threat land harder once the first wave closes in and your team realizes retreat is not really an option on this beach.
What sets the Series apart is choice. Arcade gets you into a fast wave-defense round without much setup, Survival strips away the finish line for an open-ended skeleton siege, and either one can be played straight or with the Treasure variant layered on top, sending your team hunting for buried loot between waves. With room for up to ten players, it scales from a tight pair to a full birthday-party crew, and swapping formats between runs means a group can play it twice in one visit and get two genuinely different sessions out of it.
